“Hours Fly…Flowers die…New ways New days pass by love stays.” by ?
“Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.” 1 corinthians 13:8
“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.” 1 john 4:10
the first quote is sweet – but offers no hope…oh, it is a feel good kind of hope…like “faith””joy””love”…but if you avoid the One who gives all these, who created all these, who defines all these……then, you do not have all these…and you do not know all these….and one day, you will have lost any possibility of ever knowing any of these ever again…………Christ Jesus – know Him, BEFORE you dismiss Him – before it is too late
I pulled up behind a parked car the other day, and glanced at the license plate frame – “Life is a Cabinet” it said…
– I started to laugh. Yes – I thought – it is a bit like a cabinet…
And I began to ponder how, as in our lives, we put things in a cabinet, take things out…maybe hide things, change things etc…..and how in Christ Jesus – I have a BRAND NEW CABINET – and, though the old cabinet is still around, it is going; it is being cleaned out; and I no longer want to keep things in the old cabinet – I want to store where they will be safe forever – not eaten by moths, or stolen, or destroyed by fire….stored in the new cabinet – where my Father is :)
Oh – and the license plate frame? I looked again, and saw that it actually said, “Life is a Cabernet”….I laughed harder –
I still like “Life is a cabinet “…….
heads up to a member of a team from etsy :)
For Take a Stitch Tuesday week 32 it is the cast on stitch– the petals of the flowers are done in cast on, with some bullions, french knots and seeding……….
and I also played with the photography as I took the photos – not touching them up….just moving them from sunlight to shadow…..
this stitch was new to me, and it was wonderful to learn…the cast on stitch….
threads used : coton floche a broder (16), perle 8, crochet 80
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
oyster stitches…these are lovely to work with, and I am so thankful that I can keep learning new stitches thanks to Sharon at pintangle, and Take a Stitch Tuesday.
I worked these in pearl cotton 8, 5, cotton floss and cotton broder…..
…and added some bullion knots here and there…as I stitched, I kept thinking of how the oyster – a living organism – creates a gem – pearls- by way of irritation…and am reminded of matthew 13:45-46
God’s creation is so wonderful! and His salvation by grace through faith in Lord Jesus Christ…He is the Only Way, the truth and the life
